History

THE BEGINNING

2014

Like many great ideas ours began in a church basement when clergy from a local Episcopal church were discussing the challenges of community homelessness and housing insecurity. They knew that the current shelter system provided no option for homeless families to stay together. They also discovered two N.H. counties were starting a Family Promise Affiliate and found the model to be effective for families in need, invigorating for host congregations to participate in and economical for donors.
